How to Sign Up

Step 1: Log on to www.aratext.com

Step 2: From the menu bar, click on My Account

Step 3: A form will open for you to fill if you have an account. If you don't, click on Sign Up if you wish to have one.

Step 4: A form will open for you to fill as shown below. Once you've filled this form, click the Register button. You will then be automatically registered with Aratext.

Step 5: A successful registration notice will be shown to you. While a message will be sent to your email box (the one used in registering). You are expected to use the verification code sent to your mailbox to activate your account.

How to Pay

ATM Payment

Step 1: It is highly recommended that you pay online with your Interswitch ATM/Debit card for automatic crediting of your account. Click on Buy More after logging into your Aratext account.

Step 2: Type in the amount of SMS credit you want to purchase, minimum is 500 units. Click on the order button to go to the payment area.

Step 3: Click on the Make Payment button to display the Interswitch payment gateway. Input your ATM card number, expiry date, pin and then click Pay. You will be given a confirmation notice invoice immediately and the amount deducted from your bank account. The SMS credit your paid for will automatically be posted to your Aratext account.

Bank Payment

Step 1: To pay directly into our bank account, from the Aratext menu bar, click on Pricing to be able to view Aratext prices attached to different volume of SMS purchases and payment details.

Step 2: Once you're done paying, please email your payment details to payment@aratext.com as follows: Teller no, Bank branch, Amount, Name of depositor (which should be your aratext username/email address). You can also text your details to +2348035769455.

Step 3: Once you're through with Step 2, the total units of SMS paid for will be posted to your Aratext account.

How to Send Messages

Step 1: From the Aratext homepage, sign in with your Aratext username (email for some accounts) and your account password.

Then the Compose Message page will open.

Step 2: To customize the sender, click on Edit Sender ID under the sender field; the User Profile page will open, scroll down to Sender ID and customize to your desired name. After typing your desired name, click on the save button to save the changes made.
Note: This is advised to be done before composing the message.

Step 3: On the Compose Message page, type your numbers in the To field, multiple numbers are separated by comma (,).
Note: land line numbers should not be included as the service is prepared for GSM numbers ONLY.

Sending messages to large volume of numbers using notepad

Hint: For large volume of numbers, type the numbers in notepad. To open notepad, go to Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Notepad.

Please follow this format in typing your numbers:
country code + gsm (i.e. minus the first zero of the GSM numbers) e.g.

Please avoid putting spaces in between the number, one number per line as in the above example.

Save and close the file. In the Compose Message page, click on Upload Address File link (beside the To field). From the Open dialog box, choose the text file containing the numbers then click open.

Step 4: Type the message you want to send.

Step 5: Click on Send Message.

Note: You can now flash your SMS messages and also schedule your SMS to the time you want it to be sent by clicking any of the check boxes.
